Christiaan and David met through work when they first moved to Vancouver and quickly became fast friends. After gaining valuable work experience and securing their permanent residency status, they set up Alpine Carpentry in February 2021.
David started his carpentry apprenticeship in Ireland at the age of 17 where he studied finishing, framing, and roofing. Since then David has worked on residential and commercial projects varying from architectural concrete, timber frame homes, and high-end finishing. David moved to Vancouver in 2018 where he expanded his experience in carpentry working on custom-built homes.
Christiaan has 12 years of experience as a carpenter. He originally trained in London, England where he honed his finishing skills in high-end homes and various commercial projects while working in-house for an architect/builder. His relocation to Vancouver in 2018 led him to gain further extensive experience in timber framing and concrete formwork.
